Julius is an international development expert with several years of experience in the development landscape. Currently the Managing Director at Lwala Community Alliance, he works with communities to catalyze their own change through innovative programming, influencing health systems and putting communities at the center of their own development. He believes that when communities lead, change is drastic and lasting. Julius has offered capacity support to nonprofits across Africa, Asia, and the Americas. He previously served with ActionAid Denmark as a Regional Training and Development Advisor, with UNDP Kenya as Governance and Grants Manager and other non profits. Julius has recently been named Angel for Africa (2018) by Segal Family Foundation recognizing his efforts in community building and collaboration and is a 2019 Arnhold Rainer Fellow at Mulago Foundation. He holds an MA in Political Science & Public Administration from the University of Nairobi, is a published author and a Member of several professional associations.
